Check out our new page on Jayride – a website to help our community carpool. You can put up one off trips or any regular journeys you make where you would like to share your ride with someone else in the community.

We will be linking to our Jayride page from all our future events. Note that the event will not appear on the Jayride page until someone shares a ride. To do this you need to:

1. Sign up and log in.
2. Share a ride to the event.
   1. Put where you are leaving from in the ‘From’ box.
   2. Put the event in the ‘To’ box.
   3. Put “Transition Towns Bay of Islands” in the Tag box – this will appear automatically when you start typing “tr…”  This is to ensure that the ride appears on our TT Jayride page.

Of course you can also use Jayride to put up any other journeys you may be making.

The Far North Environment Centre is offering a free service for those in the Far North wanting to assess and reduce their ecological footprint.
